Who We Are

BDTGC

The Baramadagal Darug Tribal Governing Council is representative of the sovereign lineage of the Baramadagal / Burramattagal of the Darug speaking peoples survived through the Reid/Goldspink bloodline from Baramada, now known more widely as Parramatta.

Baramadagal mob are a Clan group within the Darug Nation / language group, which encompasses what is now known as the Sydney Basin Area. #StillHere

We work together in relational collectives of community leaders and cultural practitioners. Our networks span on-Country, off-Country and alongside other sovereign mobs in pursuing recognition of; lineage, land back justice, self-determination and treaty (based on internationally recognised definitions and models that allow for accountability and enforceability).

Our Nation-Building Network

The Baramadagal Darug Tribal Governing Council acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the Sovereign Owners of ‘Australia’.

We honour the depth and diversity of our sciences, knowledges and wisdom - built up over, and practiced, for more than 60,000 years.

We respect our Elders and their authority as critical for the survival of all humanity.
