What we prioritise

We can't be everything to everybody #goodways, so here are some of our core values which guide where we put our time and energy for mob.

VALUES AND PURPOSE

Nation Building

We are committed to Nation Building principles and action. As settler-colonialism continues to violate our mob and Ngurra, we are committed to:

  • the embodiment of our sovereignty
  • decolonisation and anti-racism
  • building strong First Nations for ourselves and with our neighbours
  • creating spaces for our Gulyangarri (kids) to be culturally strong, seen and supported.

Truth-Telling + Truth-Listening

We understand our cultural responsibilities to Ngurra and all that Ngurra encompasses.

We are committed to:

  • the truth-telling of this place; and
  • honouring our ancestors, Indigenous knowledges and ongoing kinship systems.

Land Back

We are committed to our partnership with the Treaty Council who are the centralised commission for First Nations Allodial land and seas ownership.

We share a vision to empower our Communities through initiatives that achieve land back justice, and emancipate mob from ongoing cycles of poverty and dispossession caused by colonisation.
